Same thing happened to me on the turnpike. I had a cop buddy sign off on the ticket saying it was put back to stock and only had to pay $5. You need to prove to the police with a visual inspection that the exh was put back to stock to have the ticket thrown out. It's not a moving violation so...

Put in the bmc if you have it. Even if it's not it (which I bet it is), it's a good idea to replace your old one to eliminate that as a possibility.
