Bad ecu, bad turbo's? Never heard of a bad ecu on the 335i, only heard about 2-3 peoples seals going out on their turbo's. HPFP has a warranty on it and bmw will replace it up to 80 or 100k for free. For the turbo's, you may be thinking of the wastegates. Some have wastegate rattle(like mine)...

Stock yea, but once you start adding bolt-ons, they are quicker than the new m3's. Have i mentioned that no one has blown the motor from too much power yet and there are 3-4 dd'ing around with 6xxwhp.

I've got a ls6 intake. It came with my gto ls1. Had my ls1 harness merged with my 240 harness by a friend. Its pretty simple now that i saw how to do it on silviav8forums.

I agree with the above posts. If yours came with it, then just get an aftermarket dbc throttle body. If i didnt want a running motor then the whole swap would of been 1-2k cheaper but i wanted a good motor. Got to see the motor running in person before it was pulled out for me.
