thats a big pass.. had an M3 with SMG trans and I will never buy another one... toooooo many problems

Bad ecu, bad turbo's? Never heard of a bad ecu on the 335i, only heard about 2-3 peoples seals going out on their turbo's. HPFP has a warranty on it and bmw will replace it up to 80 or 100k for free. For the turbo's, you may be thinking of the wastegates. Some have wastegate rattle(like mine) but there are different variations of it. Mine only rattles around 900rpms and its not even that loud. Others have rattle in all rpm's. If you get one with a warranty and you get rattle, just take it into a dealer and they will probably replace both turbo's for free too.
M3's handle better but that can be easily fixed.
Had the same choice, decided on the 335i because of the deal i got. Dont regret my decision at all. Probably would have been the same way with the m3 if i had picked that up. Both awesome cars, cheaper to mod the 335i though in terms of power, dunno about suspension yet since i havent really looked into it.
