My weight loss battle.

just read thru your thread and im impressed man, I was in your exact boat at 400lbs about 3 years ago before i left sfl.

im down to 250 and its a whole different life man, you can do it!!!

Dont know if your still drinking energy drinks while your on the plan but they can really mess up a diet program pretty bad. The sugar content spikes and will send your insulin numbers soaring. I used to drink them up until about 3 months ago because I started the insanity workout routine. Keep up the good work man!
well if you look that was the 0 carb... basically like drinking diet soda. and considering he is allowed to have pickles im sure the sodium intake is far more lenient than carb intake. so hollaaa!!!
I was refering to the sugar more than the sodium intake. I just went ahead and looked into it a bit and saw that some people will still support the diet soda theories while others are going to say limit if not cut it out entirely. Still it's just an observation that I though I might bring to the table and is ultimately up to Ahmed...
I am well aware that the sweetener in most of these drinks, like diet pepsi and monster and what not will actually make your body retain water, thus causing weight loss to be slower then it would be without it. BUT, this diet is miserable hahaha, and although I am very motivated, there are certain things that I need. I don't know If i mentioned this in the beginning or not, but I also gave up coffee when I started this diet because I took my coffee two and two (cream and sugar) and drank 6-8 cups of it a day, which (if u look at the box of creamer, u will see it is a huge amount of calories I was taking in). A fact that I had no idea about.

So giving that up, I am well aware of the negative consequences of drinking drinks with aspartame, but it just comes down to my sticking to the diet or not, u know? Having things like this that may slow down weight loss makes it a little easier to bear the diet, or so I would like to think.

Checkin in, keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy!

Thanks alot man. The day I get down to 250, I am going to have some fucking french fries.

I dont blame you for keeping those things, i just thought it would be interesting to mention and discuss. I am not so much in the same boat as you are Ahmed but I havent really worked out much since I was 25 when I was hitting the gym 4-5 times a week with 2h sessions. I have always been active my entire life having no issues with food or drink (quit alcohol 5 years ago) until the last three years when I just kinda dove into work and got lazy:chair: I saw myself go from 175 to 225 in three years and the job I was working at up until last year was so stressful I just didnt care. I ate to feel good and slept with the sporadic attempt at getting to the gym. I came to the forgone conclusion after looking at the myself in the mirror that it was time to shape up because I didnt recognize who I was anymore. I really feel supportive towards your cause because even though the situation is different to some degree, I can relate in the fact that I was disappointed in how far I let myself go.

yea man. I have always worked retail, I managed a sprint store up north, so I was always standing/walking around...so although I was big...it was manageable. Now that I have a career...an office...2 monitors and a staff that has to listen to what I say...getting up seems overrated.
I cannot wait to go and come back from my vacation so I can hit the gym. I'm so pumped to do this shit.

AWESOME MAN!!! so proud of you! you have no idea.

Just never give up on it and you'll be looking/feeling like a new man in no time!!!

CONSISTENCY!!

love you bro. again... super proud!

If you haven't already, read up on the "Cold water diet". Basically intake the amount of water you should be drinking in the first place(which many of us don't), but make sure to drink it cold because your body uses up energy to warm the water to digest it.

Coming from a fellow big guy, and BMW enthusiast. I wish you the best man! Goodluck!
thanks alot!

hows this week going bud??
Today has been by far the best day so far.
I weighed myself this morning and I'm 377.4. I cannot tell u how awesome of a feeling it is. My wife picked some clothes out of the closet of shit I don't wear...and I fit into a few of the shirts that I haven't fit into for a while, so that was an awesome feeling!
I'm also currently eating Moe's! Which is awesome because I can get a Salad bowl, double steak, fresh cut jalapeno's, little bit of sour cream, little bit of cheese and some of their chipotle ranch sauce...and its fucking DERRICIOUS! I'm sorta sad that the bowl is almost done =(
