Could be hub bearing, or tire balance for the shaking problem. Check all your vacuum lines because 240 is old and the vacuum line could be broken. If the TBS is dirty ur engine rpm would surge up and down.

Is it a new slave cylinder, if not the cylinder could be broke already.

There are two nuts that hold the MC to the brake booster, take those two off and see if you see and brake fluid or rust, there should be none if there is your MC is gone. Change it then bleed the system. Then YouTube or google on how to bleed brake system

I think it is The master cylinder, you might have a leak between the cylinder and the brake booster, check that one cause I had the same problem.

it's hard and my suggestion is having another set of hand to help you. cuz it's gonna be a biatch taking the tank out.have the jack on the dif. then you can take off the drive shaft, remove the four bolt that hold the rear end to the body, drop the rear end. from here it't just nick nack stuffs...
