Well the motor was just rebuilt. This was the first drive. If it were blow by it would all go into the catch can right? I hope its not that. I'm going to do a compression test in the morning and see how that goes.

it is a t28 :(. I took off the piping on the hot side and it's pretty clean. It doesn't really look like the turbo is spitting oil.

So, I finally got my car running. I took it for a drive, and it looks like I have oil spitting out the cold side of my intercooler piping. Its coming out of the coupler to in the intake manifold. I have a gt2871r on my sr w/ 550's running on emanange. When it was running it made 245whp on 11.5psi. It was pretty damn quick. It could've made more power but i was still using a s13 maf at the time. Definietly a good turbo to get if you got the $$$. If not gt28r and call it a day.

I have read that many times, but I am not understanding something. I have my timing chain completely off. I can't just put the timing chain on and turn the motor until the marks line up, won't it will jam eventually? Don't the cams gears need to be lined up correctly before the chain goes on?

Can can someone here help me out? I am putting my sr back together and I am trying to figure out how to get the timing right. I have the motor in TDC, but what do I line up the marks on the cam with?

Does anyone know the size of the stock shims and guides for the 13 sr? I lost a few of them.
