Can can someone here help me out? I am putting my sr back together and I am trying to figure out how to get the timing right. I have the motor in TDC, but what do I line up the marks on the cam with?
 
I have read that many times, but I am not understanding something. I have my timing chain completely off. I can't just put the timing chain on and turn the motor until the marks line up, won't it will jam eventually? Don't the cams gears need to be lined up correctly before the chain goes on?
 
pull ur ballancer off and there is a mark on ur crankshaft put the silver chain link on the mark and the two gold ones on the camshaft like it show on the picture and thats it
