im not buying shit yet,
im waiting for the "d700x"
or what ever it going to be

if its better, its mine

that's a better idea

I was gonna say buy your canon shit now cuz watch right after Canon makes their shit Nikon is gonna make one better and then you are gonna have to wait for Canon to come out with some baller shit a year afterward and the cycle repeats

FAiL - Every company is like that. If Nikon makes one better then Canon comes back with another one. There both at the same level most of us have established that.

lol

Honestly, I think my camera does the job ya know? I don't plan to do video, I have a personal preference to Nikon, when the day is over I still think Canon and Nikon are both great camera companies and do agree that Canon is doing much better right now than Nikon. I bought my camera cuz it does everything I need it to or will need it to in the future.

Best of luck to all that want to upgrade!

My dad's partner has one. He has a Video rig that uses Prime(or what ever lens, but he only owns Prime L Glass) Lenses. They shoot some stuff recently that is aired on the Tennis Channel HD. It is crazy to think it came from that camera. Great quality tho. But it is still limited. It doesn't have a manual over ride for the Iris when record HD Video and a few other challenges.

i heard it was bad for the sensor to take video for a long time but im an amateur at photography.....so what do i know..

sick vid but i wouldnt see myself using a SLR for video like Z4k said it is limited

oh course, you cant take a 5 minutes video, then go back to taking pictures.

the hotter your sensor, the more noise you will get.

LOL. The reason I don't take "good" shots is because all you photographers are into this photoshop, lightroom, and many other programs. Which I don't know how to use and can care less to use. That's why probably my shot aren't "good".

My reason to buy this camera is because it has both things I want. Its a DSLR & a Video cam. I did understand what Z4k said but I still want it, everything has its flaws.

THANKS tho Jose.

Find me a photographer that doesn't edit his photos.

I use photoshop to a minimum.

I shoot RAW, and only use the RAW editor from Photoshop.

My before and after shots aren't THAT different.

That's fine. When it comes down to my shots it comes down to the editing of the shot, but the idea is there and the concept is right. At the sametime I'm doing photography as a hobby not a career, that's why I don't take it serious. But I can buy myself the camera if I like, because I can.

No one is telling you to not buy the camera.

We're giving opinions on the situation.

Upgrading from D50 to a D200 was a big ass jump and took some time getting used to.

Why not buy a video camera and get a nicer lens for your body?

A good HD camera 2k. And 3-4 good lens are close to $1500 if not more.

Almost equals out. Plus I want a newer camera.

QFsamehere

The photoshop Raw editor is the same as using LightRoom which is what I usually use.
