haha this is funny....I personally dont think ANYONE has the right to JUDGE ANYONE HERE ON THIS SITE.....

true, non of us are flawless. i can slide a few things that i know no one on this forum will do, and there are things that i choose not to do or just can't.

my first drifting experiance didnt really start with driving my car, i started riding atv's when i was about 10 years old. The quickest way around a track without flipping the quad is by sliding. once i had my license i said ah wtf let me try giving it a little more power around a u-turn and see what happens. that simple u-turn spinning that one inside tire though the open diff evolved into what you see in my signature.

see that's what i mean all of us are just enthusiasts and normal people who really don't call themselves drifters....especially not me, the kid with two mr2's . i personally see drifting as what i stated in the beginning and some of you have said... a technique to use when needed. some of you see it as a sport or competition but in my mind at least....i'm not knocking drifting, i like drift ok, but some of you haven't noticed that drifting is the ballet of car competitions.,it looks good but you don't wanna ballet at a karate match ...you get it?i hope, and yeah practice makes us good but none of us is perfect.(a few ballet moves here and there are ok though , so keep dancin')

i dont do drifting on the side, like a hobby associated with a greater sport. eh, well i drift becuase not everyone in their freakin mother knows what this thing called drift is. drag racing in the past few years has attracted a certain group of unexperianced, unknoledgeable people we collectivly call "ricers". Its the people like them that have amplified the street racing scene into something that is shunned upon by the genral public as causing accidents, deaths and a public nucense. I dont want to be catagorized in this idea that street racing has left with everyone so i drift. Not that drifting can or cant be argued as more or less dangerous, or any better charictoristics then drag racing though the genral public's eye. Its my hobby that keeps me out of trouble.

plus its fun sideways at (insert current top speed here) 76 mph.

rain, sohc, intersection......and i LOVE drifting, and live for it, to me, its not a technique to get around a corner quicker , its just too exciting, such a rush, 50 mph sideways with an arab in a purple s14 10 feet away from you sideays.....just...amazing.....juan should remember back in the day when i first started, i sucked big ****, but still tried and loved it.......and i dont think u have to be into it before others to be a better drifter.....or drift trucks on a farm when u were little, (seems to be the most popular phrase (before they what wat drifting was)), in that case... my mom spun out a couple of times in her mazda MPV, is she a drifter? NO, so yeah, big dif from drift and a little powerslide in a front heavy truck, so, for the "original drifters"(truck drivers) see u on the us27 big u-turn in front of sunoco...very fun turn, and enough space to hit any speed u need, so lets ee that full ock full throttle drift attackkkk, woot, anyways, another long *** rant/post by meeeee:) -_-' FMDTTTT

Yopu forgot about hitting left handers with no right hand transitions thats why you guys are so great! Drift is drift hjave you noticed that the only people in the world who come out and talk **** about other enthusiasts are th SFL peeps. No matter what type of racing evrybody has to show there *** in South Florida. Keep on rocking guys YYYYAAAAAYYYYY!

jordan even used to go around an tell off duty cops "hey im a drifter"
he used to tell every body, yes he did drift but i dont know about a drifter

personally to me a drifter is a person who is dedicated completely to the sport, basically lives, breathes and sleeps drifting. You dont have to be good, just live it. I mean come on there alot of "drifters" out there. They shouldnt be solely judged by there skill but also there passion.

Yeah i eat sleep and breathe drifting does it matter i havent driven in a month?
I dont even technically have a car right now

some of you are sorta dense! oh well bandwagon, youth or whatever, try looking into other motorsports , i'm just being honest i hope you guys don't get angry maybe the older guys understand what i'm talking about.and try repating the ''hobby that keeps me out of trouble '' phrase in your head a couple times.

I can't speak for anyone else but it's not a bandwagon for me because I knew about it before it was a known sport in the U.S. Maybe you have just started to like it and are already bored of it. But I for one will never become bored of something I love and respect. I love all types of motorsports from F1, to WRC, to Moto GP. But I also love Xtreme sports like boarding, surfing, BMX and Moto-X as well as video games and anime/ Manga/ comic books.

I don't get into fads I'm 24 years old, married, and have a 5 year old daughter I am extremely mature and responsible but still find time to do what I like and these things have yet to become played out to me. Only bandwagoners get bored not purists.

I see you like trucks as well as cars so you like myself are versatile when it comes to our tastes, I just won't judge people, I let them prove they're worth thats how you learn someones character.

my first time was when i had a 87' celica (frount wheel drive). all i had to do was pull the ebrake and it worked.. untill the ebrake stoped working. or it was in my moms 2001 focus wagon in the dirt where all i had to do was turn the wheel and i went sideways but it only worked on the dirt showing that i fliped it going around a corner too fast.

everyone who didnt create drifting is a bandwagoner

then your a true bandwagoner...dammit thats not what were talking about...

one thing thats really going to screw everything up is 3F3F...once that movie comes out were going to see an increase in stupid people. Then we will know who the true drifters are.

i'm into everything just like you. i was just kinda stating a real point of view after some of these cats showed their stripes, i'm trying to see what you guys think about the sport ,who sees it for what it is and who thinks they got MAD SKILLS . point being i'm not ''bored'' but i'm not into being obsessed either. i respect the passion and love most of you showed and would like the beginner stories to continue cus it really helps us relate to each other.

well since i dont own a 240 i aint a band wagoner!!!! Ne ways getting sideways was when i was like 10 with my 5hp go kart! Man that things was fun in the rain! Would spin all the time but sometimes id hold some pimp slides. Ive been sliding the bimmer for about a year now... and i dont think ive pulled anything worthy of being called a drift until i did the event with suspension. But thas just me. And the u turns on 27 ave are ****ing awesome! Just dont fall into the ditch!

its not about a 240... its about drifting, so if you like drifting you are a bandwagoner and since tertech has a bmw first, you are on the bimmer bandwagon too! im tellin you, theres no escaping it

I was the only one here with an S12, i am the only one here with a RA65 and i will be the only one here with a cressida in a short while

so i guess drifting is the only bandwagon im on
