Piner said:Your entry needed alot of work, you were going pretty slow and very late entry that = understeer. You did better in the slower corners. Plus you pulling the ebrake slowed you down more. Next time, use shift lock instead.

boxmod said:personally i feel unless you are trying to down gear (to reduce speed for the next corner) using shift lock is slow and not agressive. clutch kick or feint (or a combination) is the most agressive way and fastest entry (foot is on the throttle). if speeds are extreme, 80+ or so, and a fairly skinny entry path, ebrake it for smoothness and consistency. shift lock as a initiation is also the most harsh method to the car and parts i believe.
just my opinion, i know rob d loves the shift-lock, i only use it to connect fast to slow turns.

I did think he was being overly facetious towards Funk however. Tough love? Probably.

POLE-POSITION said:jason i watched alot of you videos and your clutchkick entries get alittle boring. the Mid-Ohio event it looked like people were braking because you were going in slower then them then clutchkicking. yes that means no braking but it ususally mean throttle lift on the straightaway before the first turn. you are a good driver you should be able to get rid of the clutchkicking bad habit. Going in too fast then adjusting with the ebrake entry angle and speed it more what i think judges would want to see. thats is why i was so impressed with Noah and Erick's entires. who had the highest entry speed by the way.

S-chassis don't rotate like FC's or E30's by simple throttle lift. Clutch kick or ebrake entries ftw. I would have been clutch kicking the shit out of my car if I were driving that event. And I think it was the stage6 s14 w/ the highest entry speed.

Highwaystar22 said:I've been on here a while guys, but I don't post often. I'm the Media/Sponsorship Director for Drift Star Syndicate. I just want to correct something I see in many forums, and this by no means is to hate on anyone. Both cars fielded by DSS, Travis Deems' S13 and Zoli Hajdu's S14, are Drift Star Syndicate cars. The cars were built by the respective owners and members of Drift Star Syndicate.
Stage 6 is an amazing sponsor, and they have helped us out in many many ways. We couldn't be where we are, our have the range to do the events we do without them. But in no way does Stage 6 own either car.
Congrats on the entry speed Travis... who would of thought a fat man would go that fast. Hahahaha
