Ter-Tech will have a pro driver qualifier November 1st, 2008 at South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. The event will be to find out if we can get the minimum of 16 drivers for a Florida pro drift series. The season -09 we will put together a 4-6 event series for the Pro drifters and Ter-Tech will also introduce a Street class for the beginners as a stepping stone to the Pro class. Pro class will be tandem based and street class will be solemly on judged single runs.

This event will be the first qualifier for the 2009 FLORIDA DRIFTING CHAMPIOSHIP series. Ter-Tech wil be looking for drifters that are skilled enough to run tandem and hand out PRO licenses to the qualified.
Judging:
Most of the day will run like a practise and at the very end we will have 3 run qualifying where the best run counts.
MOST important thing will be that you wont SPIN since this is the most comon reason for accidents.

There will also be two Motorcycle Stunt Shows during the brakes. Each show will be 15min.

Driver fee is $100 including one mechanic (include the name in the paypal notes section) spectators $15.00 under 11 free.

Gates open at 7AM for the drivers and 10AM for the spectators. Drifting goes till dark so gates close around 8PM.

Directions to the lot are from I-95 take Southern Bldv to west, past turnpike make right on to Fairground drive and enter at gate 12. from turnpike go west on to Southern drive about 1 mile and turn right to fairground drive enter at gate 12.

Cars will be inspected for working seat belt, loose battery, loose items, loose balljoints, etc... common sense stuff. Drivers need to wear proper shoes, clothing and HELMETS. Drifting outside of the track area is forbidden thru out the day and any other kind of foolish behaviour will not be tolerated.

Pre reg is now open. At www.Ter-Tech.com And will be limited to 50 drivers.

Sponsor opportunities for the drivers will be helped by the fact that the series will be covered by OctaneTV amongst other media.

Tentative Track Schedule for 2009:
1. Moroso (Season Opener) March 28th 2009
2. Orlando Speedworld
3. TBD
4. Charlotte County Speedway
5. Moroso (SEASON FINALS) August 15th 2009

Qualified Drivers will need a Rollcage SCCA Approved with a Roof hoop and side impact bars, Racing suit, Snell SA2005 or better helmet, Driving Shoes and racing seat belts that are up to date for the first event at Moroso in order to run tandem. For more detailed info on the safety equipment please dont hesitate to contact.

Do the 16 cars needed to qualify for a Pro-Drift series need to have cages?
Or, do the street class cars count toward that total # also?

the pro-drift needs cage for sure.... if u think u can qualify. try it out. if u make it. get a cage.
i dont think u need a cage for street. it will most likely be held on skid pad.

Cage is not reuired for the Nov. 1st to qualify, but for the -09 season Pro drifters will be required to have it.

Harri, i wanna make love to you

no homo

thank you sooooo fucken much, we needed this. This is the best news we had for SFLD. Things are just gonna get better after this.

and harri, are u gonna qualify?

I would go for street class, but for this event will the amount of runs we get be limited as the event takes place due to not qualifying. Or do we let you know if we are trying to quilify and you judge us based on our performance troughout the day, and just try and get as many runs in as possible like a normal practice.

Kinda wish we could hit the fairgrounds 1 more time.

Do we choose what class we want to drift in, and say you think were too good to be in the street class will you have us try out for the Pro class?
