It kinda squeezes the hell out of the rubber hanger making it smaller and making it hang lower.

I would use the metal hose clamps to higher my exhaust so it wouldn't sit so low. You only gain half an inch at most, but its something.

Sigma it is then! Thanks everyone for the responses! I was looking at the 28-300mm but I heard you can get a lot of distortion with a lens with such a large range. I was looking at the tamron version because it comes with the anti-shake feature. The same sigma does not have it.

Have you guys had any experience with them or know some one that has? Would you recommend them or should I stay away? thanks for the help!
