I wanna do this too!
I think it makes sense cuz nissan to nissan. Id put a ls1 in a rx7 for sure tho.
the major thing in this swap is the wiring. you gotta get standalone. I dont think anyone has got it runnin with a stock ecu, at least from a 3.5 liter (because of the can-bus...
you could drill them out. its just that shit takes forever. drill into the rubber in a bunch of places around the outside of it, tryin not to hit the metal on the link/arm/whatever.
well, the shop I work at is independent, and its only the boss and I workin there. My favorite benz is a sl55 amg. but Id take the porsches (911s at least) over bout any benz.
yea I like my job alot. But I definetly dont make what I think I should be (being 6 outta 8 ase cert.), but the experience is really good. nothing sounds like the air cooled flat sixes!
So heres pics for my werk, european motorwerks autohaus
a mercedes c230, had to change the engine wiring harness, cuz of rats!
a blue 964 cabrio, changed valve covers gaskets.
black 88 911, I want it!
I love my job...
I was just playin about passing the mustang. the mustangs suspension looks like its been loaded since the outside of the corner. the 911 def just late braked it, torsion bar 911s have serious oversteer when you lift the throttle and unload the rear too fast.
you dont have to pull the head to replace valve stem seals. you gotta take out the cams tho, then remove the springs and retainers. make sure you have the cylinder youre workin on somewhere around tdc so that the valve doesnt fall down into the cylinder! then you would have to pull the head...
I was a lil disappointed too. I could have been that I felt like shit the whole time too. Met some of the aero-k guys, cool ass crew! I got pics, but I cant find my usb for the camera. Ill post them soon.
