"my cousin was drivin' drunk when he flipped his Camaro 15 times - if he hadn't been thrown free, he'd have died in the fire".

I would never daily drive a car with a cage, but then again that's just me. Just food for thought I guess, nothing to take serious. /end

Well riding with the fire dept I can tell you 99% of drivers in a rollover w/out seat belts on go to the ER with serious injuries.
And 99% of those with seat belts on are usually waiting at the scene with minor injuries. Never heard of a cage killing someone.

If we can recall the video Leo posted a few weeks ago about the gentalmen in a Toyota flipping while drifting/sliding.we can safely say that some people indeed get ejected from the car and one only lost there arm .

Hey tim can we have a cone setup like formula d has where the lead driver has to make sure the follow driver can keep up?

I'm tired of damian drag racing me off the line lol

I will be sliding this event. Do I have a snell approved helmet no not yet but I will.

If I make it to the top 32 will I have a cage then yes. Shit will I have a cage in a few months anyways yes.

All these things are worth it no matter if your sliding the event or not. Eat at home a few more times a week, drive slower to save on gas, stay home a couple night, etc to save money for the required items. Until last night I hadn't drifted in 4 years and while a snell helmet or cage werent in the near future for me knowing that I'll need them to compete or drive at the track then I'm getting them. No bitching no crying.

Follow the simple rules guys they are there to protect you and keep the sport safe and fun. I rather see these rules be applied BEFORE something bad happens rather then after!!!

That cone is not a pace cone. Its their for any driver if they feel the other driver jumped the gun. You have to stop before the cone to demand a restart.

yes

Already have that planned. Ben and I are ,or I should say Ben came up with the lay out but I'm just thinking of some changes and we will post up the details for you guys.

In regards to the battery in trunk . That thread you posted last photo is not in a box but is secured very well with battery power covered . Can we secure it good without a box or like you said anywhere but engine bay requires a box ?

If it is in your back seat then it needs to be in a box but in the trunk just needs a bracket to hold it down.

Maybe it's better to explain the intent.... the intent is to have a firewall between you and the battery protecting you in case there is a fire and the battery blows up.

Maybe Tim can correct me here but if you relocate the battery in the passenger compartment, you need a box (firewall), if it's in a trunk (not hatch) then you don't.

Ok thank you

Oh man

Ok thank you

"And if its anywhere else besides the engine bay it needs to be in a BOX!!"
I don't understand the confusion.

The pic of the smaller batt tie down was for those that have those type of batteries not to say they wouldn't need a box if it was in the trunk.
Again... If "it" (meaning battery) is located any where besides the engine bay it need to be in a covered box.... I don't care if it a hatch or not. Put it in a box! I don't mean to be a dick but it's not that hard. And I had a feeling someone would think that when I posted it. But was hoping the statement would clear that up.
