Best coilovers for under $1000?

i feel like no one on this site rocks fortune auto coilovers. you can make your own spring rate although 7/6k is recommended. but you can tell them what you want. and its 1k shipped. ive slammed into curbs going 50mph sideways. car jumped 4ft in air. no damage to coilovers at all. things are beast. benarovi can vouch for my curb ownage. :bigthumbu

these are starting to sound really good i read some good reviews. these or d2s
where did you get them for a 1k shipped?

import image racing. a guy named billy. not a lot of people heard about them but they are fairly new company. not new just havent been around as long as the others and ive read no problems about anyone who has had them nor have i had any problems with them. had them for about a year and a half now..

Pm AKsamurai to see if he still has the set of RYO coilovers for an S13. Honestly those coilovers are super beefy, and they are worth the cash.

I have BC coilovers, and there are eh. I think a set of PBM would be muchhhh better IMO.

in before the fanboys say otherwise. hmm have you seen what trophy you won?

I can understand the jealousy but please contain yourself silly Haitian.

I love my PBM's on my s14 had em for 8 months now, although a little on the stiff side I'm sure if you upgrade to swift springs it will ride awesome.

in my car i have tein super drift, no one who ever rides my car believes the spring rates 10k front 8k rear, rides great, not too stiff no bouncing.

The place the money goes is the dampening in the shock. If search you will see numerous people that have put these on shock dynos, I'm talking megan or godspeed, and no difference in dampening from 1 click to 32. On my teins you can actually tell the difference between soft and stiff.

Just for the ride, spend the money.

irock the same coils!!! fukn tits

I haven't had a problem with my megans and been daily/tracking it for almost 2 years. Got them for $900 shipped. For daily, a bit bumpy if you don't lower dampening to street settings, but nothing major. I bought the track series, so higher spring rates, the street series are just as good though, especially if you plan to daily the car more then track it.

+1. I just got a set of Megan tracks for my racecar and was really impressed with the quality of them compared to what I saw from Megan a few years back.

I don't know what your guys deal is with pbm fanboy nonsense. If you actually compared specs you'll see the difference.

PBM coils are designed to operate at a lowered ride height and have nice spring rates, I been trying to preach this for a long time now, stiff spring rates are nonsense.

Especially if its a daily car, stiff rates are gonna bounce all over the place. PBM even offers a softer spring for and even smoother daily ride.

I've always thought that megas were way too stiff, Id say megans are a fanboy coil

I've tried to provide you all with a suspension tuning guide and really goes into detail about what the fuck a coilover really is.

I would go with a legit company with decent spring rates, pbm, stance, SPL(i personally have had SPLs since the begining out time like 4 years now)

Kbumps(sports), megans, r2D2's I think those are all junk. If you gonna spend your money spend it right. Especially on something that is important like suspension which prolly plays the biggest role on the most important thing in drifting. Traction. Yes we want slip but we also want an important amount of grip.

PBMs are $1000 even. all others go a little over. my spls were like 1150.

So the best coilover for under 1000 IMO. pbm.
