nah see i did some research and this is the best way to avoid leaks since im taking all the tracking and shit off. im thinking this is like 1/16"
Thats not my car. Brian hit me up on aim and told me about this thread since I never sign on anymore. Been a while since ive posted on here. No car, no point in posting.
Go to home depot buy the lexan sheet. A normal thickness is fine. Nothing too thick. Round off the edges then drill the holes threw the roof and plexi. Measure carefully and use a pencil to write on the lexan to make a template. Once all the holes are drilled pull off the back sticker and spray paint a nice black border. 2 inches all around will do. Use a exacto knife to take off the backing material.
The reason you use spray paint is because when you use the silicone to seal the roof you wont see threw the lexan and see all that mess. It will look nice and clean. Get it installed then tint it.
Thats what i did and it lasted me years. Use alot of rivets it seals better and space them apart correctly so it does not look ghetto.
Good luck.
Heres the best pic i could find.

Exactly what I told him but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Home depot sucks, if you take your car to a plastic shop. They can measure the angles of your roof and give you a tinted lexan piece that will match the contours of your roof.
The lexan/plexiglass at homedepot will yellow in the sun, and then get brittle as time passes.
