Lexan Glass

yeah i've done it on a coupe before. take the whole door sized sunroof bracket out and just get plexi and cut it then sand it so it BARELY fits in... then put weights on it (roof isn't exactly flat) and cock top and bottom. there's a small lip inside that you can bend out a little. then we just fabbed some ghetto metal brackets for the backside of the sunroof and bolted it in with like 5/8 or 3/4 sized bolts you find at home depot they only need to be an inch long or so, pile on some washers and bolt it down, it's super super secure and durable. and NOT LEAKS. it's amazing and looks really cool too. there's my 2 cents. we ordered a good sized piece off ebay for around $30 - $40

Home Depot has a few different Lexan peices, just get a decent thickness and one that is UV protected and your good.

Home depot sucks, if you take your car to a plastic shop. They can measure the angles of your roof and give you a tinted lexan piece that will match the contours of your roof.

The lexan/plexiglass at homedepot will yellow in the sun, and then get brittle as time passes.

i didnt pay it my uncle did but you get a big sheet i dono if they sell smaller pieces

im looking to do something like this but with the corners rounded out similar to the stock sunroof lines.

I like how Ralph told you at the meet and your still asking people. You n!gger!

ralph told me that he did it at the meet now what im asking is what size thickness is it and how did it hold up with the weather and where was it purchased.

Normal size. As I told you to put cocking so water wont go in and Ralph said that also. And Miamigetlow told you where you can go and or home depot has them. And if you want circular edges then cut it out that way.

lol dude im not retarded i know the procedure i just want to know whats the thickness of guilles lexan on his sunroof. there is no such thing as normal size

ralph told me that he did it at the meet now what im asking is what size thickness is it and how did it hold up with the weather and where was it purchased.

Just get 1/4in cut it out to fit and boom. You dont have to run exactly what another person used, one thing you can do that he did was tint the plexiglass. But everything else you can do yourself.
