what size rims

rite now, i have 17 inch nissan sentra ser specv rims on my car, i bought it like that. i need some tires, so now would be a good time to get different rims if it would be better. so i found these 15 in konig helium rims that weigh like 10 lbs. so my question is what is better for drifting, my 17 in rims or lighter 15 in rims? thanks for the input.

lol ^ see there ya go that was a good one...:)

You what else i noticed that most of the D1 drift cars handle preet good GRIP style....there is a BMI that tested all the d1 cars grip style they all did preety good.

Well their suspension is highly tuned. The stability of those cars, regardless of their settings, are amazing.

However put Nomuken's R34 against a JGTC (or Super GT) R34, and now it's a whole different ballgame.

^Agreed, but if you think abotu what the car is used for they ALL handled preety good times....i think only a 1second off average time at the track i dotn remember what track it was.

15's are much better.. they are the most universal tire size for finding good used and new tires

Hey I Got A (noob) Question...............wer Can I Get Some Tires For My New 15x7 Inch Enkei Mesh Whells That Slide As Good As They Look.....and Cheap If Possible

the only downside to the 17's is that u need more power to spin them, if u use the same technique.

the lower profile tires give a nice reaction while drifting. and u can also get used 17" tires, just alittle more expensive. the used tires r a good thing, if ur not rich or sponsered, or that experienced.

find a place that keeps their tires outside and just walk by and grab a couple. :D

Alot of places like that have cops parked nearby to prevent theft.

Anyway, lighter wheels would be more beneficial to you. Go with the 15s. Im sure theyd be hotter too. :D

as much as everyone else had said so far, the 15's are more practical. Lighter, cheaper, and I'm sure they will still give you better handling than say stock or even heavy rims if you're not packing much horsepower.

I love the way 15s look on a lowered koop

Imagine that but cooler wheels (which I will have this week)

Cheapers better with a sport where your gonna go through tires quick so go with the 15s :)

If you guys are lookin for cheap tires for just drifting on, you could just get some used tires. There's this place on 441 and 23rd st.(just south of Pembroke Rd.) that sells used tires for $10 but I think it could depend on size, i'm sure thats not a problem for the people with 15in wheels though

Also there is this Place around there, I think north of Johnson and south of Sheridan, between there, that sells used Wheels and tires on the east side of 441 (going north on the right side) little yellow building with racing flag design and wheels outside

get a pick up and drive to the keys and go to tommys tire and fill up on FREEEEEE! used tires

there's a ghetto place on broward across from that mega porn place and motorcycle shop. The name is the best::: "ok tires". They're cheap, 205 50 15s with a good amount of tread for about 20 bucks plus like 2 bucks to mount them.
