Well if this is in anyway projected at me, I would have to say I have put in so much effort into car development and track time (nearly 20 events last year) and actively trying to make my car out so its attractive to those sponsors by wasting money on paint and kits, I feel its unfair to say what you are saying. I don't want an unfair advantage in a competition, but you can't expect to go on national tv in a beat up car and have the public take drifting seriously. I don't think you are really directing it at me, but either way, knowing that motorsports is a package deal and not just driving ability (although it is sad to say that) is why a LOT of people aren't driving when they are capable.
I know I have a rep going but it took me a LONG LONG time to build up respect given how long I've been 'in the scene'. Either way, I'm not worried because I know I can drive pretty well, but I know slideways-for-5 is no joke. There are plenty of people that are good drivers in Florida.
I'll be happy with driving IRL without getting the TV show deal too, I just want to drive, because I simply f*cking love it.
