So MMP drift event a possibility

you can drift any car in third. you just have to be going fast enough, dont try to go 30 mph and put it in 3rd gear unless you have alot of hp or real crappy tires.

That is what i am saying. Especially in a Corolla, you have to be in the gear according to the speed of the drift. Corollas usually die out in second when going through a hairpin turn, especially in a stock one like mine. 3rd gear for me is going no less then 55 mph. If I go less, my car will just bog out, even with multiple clutch kicks.

sorry dude I call bull**** here I can break the tires loose in 2nd gear in my 88 200sx with all of 100hp and it weighs about 400lbs more than your car and I run 205/60 15's not no 14's, How bout this one you try drifting a 110hp 2900lb open diff automatic 1980 supra and then you'll understand hard.... ohh and BTW i have gotten it to slide pretty ok consisdering in the dry mind you.

so basically quit your *****ing and move up to 2nd gear there is no reason your car cant do it Hell my 1st 200sx wouldn't drift in 1st gear because the gear ratio was too low ( car speed would catch up to wheel speed to quick) just get going faster man.
 
people have to learn somewhere.... its all on the driver i am mostly in 2nd gear if i screw up my line or what ever i might have to drop it in 1st for a few secs to keep the wheels spinning... out here in japan there is alot of technical turns theres alot of touge out here so you learn to drift on roads that are basiclly wide enough for 2 cars ....

drifting is not about power spinning the tires, its momentum dragging the car sideways boiiii

same principal, but rally cars do it because they are usually on loose roads or tight turns.

WTH happened here? I think it's too difficult to gauge sarcasm sometimes over the int4rw3b. I don't take anything on here personally which is why I'll probably drive up to O-town or where ever and chill out with Rob, drift, and have fun. Isn't that what this is all about? <3
