Be careful Jones. This is a tricky time to finance a used car.

Although banks are giving incentives here and there, if your credit is not spotless and you have not owned cars in your name before then payments and APR will go through the roof.

I had a lot of customers who purchased their cars before the whole "economy issue" and came back in expecting to trade out and pay less. Very rare occasion to see that happen nowadays.

So don't get rid of the Scion until you have something for sure set in stone. Otherwise it might just end up costing you more monthly.

Also being from up north I would have it thoroughly inspected for excessive rust due to the snow and salt on the roads. You would be surprised how many cars have too much for comfort. Good luck.
