its because the real florida drifter is now a PAdrifter lol
dan said:Okay.. check it out, I have an idea...... might be a long shot, butttt... why don't you guys get in contact with the Slide America guys instead of just bitching and moaning about spilt milk on this forum. You are all complaining about oh wah wah why didn't you call me, but wtf, you are calling the people who went out selfish and wanted to hog the camera, who the fuck are you?? majority of the people complaining don't come out drifting every saturday night with us, why the fuck should you have been invited?? you don't go out just to go practice and have fun, but you are willing to go out just so can be on video? most of the people who were told about it are the ones who are out there every weekend drifting regardless if their car is running good or not or have extra tires or work the next morning.. I don't care how many drift events you been to, good for you, this documentary wasn't about drift events, so wah wah wah some more. and if you think what I said is unfair or mean or w/e I really don't care because you want to be hypocrits so go cry to Slide America and ask them to come back so they can get you on film.

Bottom line:
Fact, you all (anyone involved in the inviting) are shady for doing what you did. You know it which is why you all freaked the hell out when I first brought this up and censored the shit out of all the posts (by deleting them).
Fact, regardless of what ends up on that film, it will always be a misrepresentation of the south Florida drift community because what most of you represent is only a small portion of what south Florida has to offer.
Irony, someone invited to the filming started this thread.
dori dori said:What does street drifting do for the drift community?
dori dori said:Oh and there are no events in SFL because nobody signs up for them. Blame yourselves for that one.
Dan, I'm always for going sliding with you guys, but you must realize at one point that there are people out there that just slide elsewhere. Just because they choose to slide somewhere else and not talk about it, doesn't mean they dont slide. Ralph has been going out with a few others that'll vouch for him (as well as themselves since they are in this forum) that they've been going at it.
Truth is, I understand you wanted to keep bullshit to a minimum, however there were a lot of people there that could slide and did. And I'd have to ask.... why were you there? You didnt even have a car. And if you say you could've borrowed someone else's car, then that's bullshit because so could have I. Please dont think I'm picking on you as there are a shitload more people in that "special" cast that I can pick on as well. Even FWDs were there, I mean seriously wtf.
There's a lot of people that have contributed to the drifting community that wanted to be a part of this.... I had no running car, but previous to my whole "break" from drifting, I have always went street sliding and I've added up 15 events under my belt. Not a lot of people can say that in SFL.

PS: Someone came to apologize for their actions and "not inviting" people. So why the apology if you guys were right all along?
dan said:WTF? Show me a pre-reg list for any event in South Florida that wasn't an oval track. that wasn't full before the event started. What happened to the Parking Lot event that was suppose to go on and the pre-reg was already full and then it was cancelled "because the said insurance that was already gotten, wasn't actually gotten"
dan said:It's not about who drifts or not.
dan said:My question is that why does everyone all of a sudden want to be a part of the community when there is an outside source filming? I've posted an open-invite for every Saturday night to go sliding and yet it's still the same 4 people every weekend. If you guys want to go drifting so bad and be on video, come out Saturday nights and slide, get it on Video, post it on the internet, download it, burn it to a DVD and bam, you are famous too. :bigthumbu
POLE-POSITION said:its because it was treated like an exclusive lets invite a few people thing. Fuck all the people that did the inviting they did a shitty shitty fucked up gay ass stupid big mistake decision to not make people that actually drift aware of it. i would have brought at least 2 cars from the west coast maybe Igor too that would have made 3 willing to slide. then add Kyle, Ryan, Noah to name a few more. shit if this was a drifting only forum it could have been announced to all the people who really drift and there would have been a huge turnout of real drifters.
dori dori said:A nationally recognized documentry about drifting is quite a bit different than hanging out with you every Saturday night Dan. If that DVD wasn't a big deal to you, you wouldn't have shown up.
Under_Control said:Bottom line. If you think street drifting is hurting our "scene". Then why would you wanna be part of a dvd based on street drifting?
dori dori said:BUT without ever attending events and only drifting on the streets, you're hurting the scene.
Learn how to make a point because whatever your point is, it sucks. And this isn't just about me, this is about every single person in south florida who does support the scene and deserved a part on that film - me, erik, pp, kyle, e30g, ralph, ect ect.dan said:Dude, wtf, I'm there every saturday night regardless if someones out there shooting a "NATIONAL DOCUMENTARY" or not. so get off it. My point is that you guys dont want to come and drift just to drift and then you cry when YOU dont get called to come get on documentary footage. That DVD isn't a big deal to me. shit, me nor anyone from the FMDT crew even talked to the SA guys so just take your sour attitude else where
