SAFC II settings

Hey yall!

I got the car running now, no more white smoke. ANd there was oil in the coolant . and fuel in the oil.no head gasket, but soon???!!! I got a sfac, but if i am gonna be driving up to mia to be tuned , i would have to have that tuned before i go up right? anyone have numbers for just a 7psi setting on stock turbo, hks adj. actuator? just so i can get it up tp jg's to get it tuned and shtuf.

thanks.

You have a bad head gasket and you're driving to miami? I would advise against that. Maybe I'm misreading though.

If you have an HKS actuator, I believe your stock boost will increase to 8ish, right?

Just put in the correct values for the injectors and MAF (if you changed that...i can't remember) and you should be able to drive it fine to the tuner.

i meant to say there was nothing wrong with the head gasket. so just put in the values and start her up?
would i be running rich or lean ?

Ngk HR 7 and as for the SAFC II im having the same prob... need tunning driving as is runs really bad.. where u goin for tunning and how much?

well, if you're running stock boost you could take your old injector size (370 for sr) and divide it by your new injector size (740,440,etc) and then you have the percentage that your injectors should be running. example: 370cc/440cc = 84....% then take 100%-84% and you get 16%. Then go into your safc and put all the settings to -16%. However, only do this if the boost settings are stock. If not, go get it tuned professionally.

jg autoworks or speedlab. dont know how much yet

where do youget your spark plugs from online?

is there a gap setting for them> i guess ill need a gapper to huh?

hey if you are not doing anything sat, want to go dyno together? mabey cheaper that way?

if not sat sometime next week?

The last set of BKR7E-11's I bought were gapped to over .04" out of the box...a lil wide. You should gap them to about .03"

you get a spark plug gapper. Any redneck has one as a keychain. You can get one from them or go to advanced auto, pep boys, or any auto store.

^haha, i have one on my keychain. :)

THere's better types of gappers out there too but the circular keychain kinds are OK.

anyone have a similar setup to me that has some base numbers for a Apexi SAFC II i could use to drive(?) up north to get my car tuned???

dont want to spen >$300 to get my car towed up there.

i already posted how to do it. divide your injector size by stock (370) and subtract that from 100%. That will give you a percentage... ex: a 740cc injector: 370/740 = 50%. 100-50= 50%. Now, plug -50% into your safc. Just turn the boost down to the stock settings and you'll be good.

or just drive it... whats wrong with driving a couple hours rich? just buy a new set of spark plugs for the drive back.
