q45 brakes vs z32 turbo brakes

Oh man misinformation.

You actually get MORE front brake bias running only q45 front brakes, everything else stock.

i dont see how seeing as its less fluid needing to be run too it vs the z32?

i have the z32 and imo i like them more cause the pads are supa fast to change haha.... and i mean it was a great upgrade over stock ethier way you go guille its gonna be win so might as well do which ever is cheaper

did u guys skip hachibills post or something?

seriously, i anwered all those questions in my post. and yes you can use those brakes on a 4 lug, just get the rotors re drilled. i had mine on my car when it was 4 lug....on the 97 and up q45 brakes, you do need to cut away the dust sheild.

as with any brake upgrade you will get more front bias when you only ubgrade the fronts, but its not near as pronounced with the q45/j30 as the z32 and are easier to modulate at the limit. i am personally not impressed with z32 fronts only. like i said earlier, if you do z32 you should do them all. if you only want to do the fronts, then i would only do the q45/j30, you get the same amount of stopping power and at al0t cheaper price.

i think for me it was just alot easier to modulate the q45 fronts then the z32 with stock rears, but then again i actually set my brakes up properly and upgraded the back stock brakes to keep up with the q45 fronts. i had hawk race pads and stainless lines all the way around. and my stock rotors held up fine for awhile, although the fronts started heat cracking pretty bad after a couple years of abuse.

^so many people neglect those little things.

Even using stock brakes, switching to good pads, rotors, fluid, and ss lines is a huge improvement. ITA race cars have to keep stock brakes yet manage to pull it off.

nani?

q45 calipers have larger pistons. Even though there are only 2, being a sliding caliper, its effectively 4. The rotor is still 280mm and the pads are both 50mm. So there's actually more brake torque up front.

Ive driven stock, Q45 and Z32 TT brakes. The blueberry had Q45 brakes when I bought it from Dan. They were alright. But I was not impressed with them. about 5 months down the road i ended up purchasing TT Z32 brakes and agency power SS brake lines. Best thing I ever did brake wise. I did not switch the rear brakes and I did not switch the brake booster or master cylinder. I just put the Z32 brakes directly on and gave it a good bleed. It was amazing. I <3 Z32 front brakes. I could mash on the brakes as soon as I saw the stop lights turn red no matter how close I was and I was always sure I was gonna stop on the line.

im running r32-r33 front calipers and i think 320 or 340mm front rotors with hawk pads i think. Project mu rear pads and a stock s14 bmc and booster brake are great pedal is about 1/4in lower than stock but after a little im used to it i love my brake setup. project mu pads are awesome my e-brake will lock tires going down 95 at 100mph no prob worth every penny

I got my 5lug set from a japanese s14 with ABS so it had the bigger calipers up front stock, and the same small crap rears.. bolted it all right up and they were awesome, just got new cheapo discount brake rotors 15$ ea. and the wagner 20$ pads with s.s.lines and project mu b-force rear pads on new rotors and they complimented each other really nice IMO.

but q45 rocks because when you get a flat up front you can use pretty much any spare wheel you got and not have to worry about clearance :bigthumbu

I also opted for the s14 calipers for the dust shield and from my experiences they dont fade as easily with crappy rotors as the q45 does under heavy braking.. plus they look expensive if you have the big rotor upgrade for it

ok , now q45 fronts on stock s13 will be ok , now the rear altima / m30 dealie?

as far as I know the only rear brake upgrade that is bolt on is Z32/Skyline crap or the 350$ kit for stock calipers that Phase2 was selling. m30/altima are for the front brakes and are supposebly the same crap as the 180sx brakes
