Whats stupid is the amount of times you used stupid and you are repping the "Ter-Tech" name. The amount of tech rules that you have for this series is pretty ridiculous for most of the people in this sport. If you are not aware this country is in the middle of a recession and to spend approximately $5,000.00 dollars just prepping your car for this series to pay another $250.00 dollars in entry fee and that is excluding the tires and fuel costs just get your car ready to track this event. I am not knocking this series in any way I am just making some constructive criticism. Stop using the word stupid its demeaning and is extremely unprofessional. You think that a company who is interested in sponsoring the series wants to see someone who is repping the company hosting the series saying everything is stupid? Thats rhetorical.......If you take offense to this I am sorry but don't take it to heart find ways to improve on some of my standpoints and maybe you will have a better series.
I agree with you he used the word stupid too many times
Never the less the tech rules are for driver protection.
Since you have noticed that the country is in recession there is very few things that are doing better and one of them is the lawyers who are happy to sue for any reason. having cars on the track that are not safe is a law suit wating to happen. Ter-Tech is just trying to do the best we can to make it as safe as possible for the Pro drivers and prevent from us getting sued by a driver who just lost his job and has no income, (so hay wait I'll go to an event and run in to an wall and blaim the organizer and his neighbor for it and sue them .......etc... )
Economy is realy bad right now and we do understand it which is the reason that we are taking these steps to find out if it is the wrong time to run the FDC, if it is we need to know so we can pull the plug on the series, since on the Fairgrounds make up event we lost over $3000, and We can not afford to do it again.
Entry fee for the Pro drivers is $150 not $250
Entry fee for the Street class is $100 not $250
Street class only thing for the tech requiremend is a street legal car with no leaks, if you are a Police officer as you seem to advertise you should understand that for driver safety that is pretty minimal and should not cost the drivers that much.
We knew that there will not be enough pro drivers alone to make the series happen thats why we also have the street class to help cover the costs on these tracks. And we do really need the street class drivers to sign up as well to make it happen not just the Pros.
And to spend $5000 to get your car from the street to the pro is probably very close to the truth (rolcage $1000-2500, Firesuit $200, harness $200, fire extinguisher $30, Helmet $150) rest of the costs are up to you and I agree it isn't easy to get sponsored in this economy, thats why all the little sponsor oportunities we have received we send them to the drivers since they are more important than us.
But there is hope, Change is coming Right???
Also critisism is always good to hear and we will try to respond to the best of our knowledge. And there will be no hard feelings or pissed of people at this end after all we are NOT FD who takes everything personally.
I hope this answers some of your questions.
