I would have to agree great answer. Good way to look professional Mr. Pro driver. Dude I am not attempting to disrespect anyone or anything I am just trying to help Ter-Tech make this event a little more friendly for the people whpo are struggling. Both of you guys need to look at this from a different standpoint. You are on the level now where everything that comes out of your mouth or fingers will be looked at carefully by potential sponsors so try and make it look like you want to be sponsored.lol good answer Pat!
truce homie, I am with you! recession or not its a commitment you make to do what you love! I am broke, I lost my job but still making money prostituting myself just to feel g-force! :bigthumbu
I agree the rules for protection such as cage and fire suit are necessary but I think the rest of the rules are a little extreme. You have to remember that two series you just compared yourself to have been established and are big name companies who aren't even worries about making a name for themselves because they did that 4 years ago and D1 even longer. Right now as an underground series I think that it would be more driver cost friendly to just need a firesuit, cage and fire extinguisher. Like I said though just a little constructive criticism. I am trying to help you guys better the series I don't need you PMing me basically trying to find out if I am qualified to make constructive criticism. Those few committed guys who have prepped their cars by the rules, are ready to pass tech in PRO-Am, and D1. I don't see them complaining.
Lot of those rules are to protect the drivers. Doesn't benefit us at all.
I am sure tandem drivers are happy to have roll cage and fire systems.
Street class doesn't have to do anything different.
Entry fee is 150$ not 250$.(Those fees barely cover the insurance we have not even talking about advertising and track rental, don't forget most other places don't pay for tracks, money goes straight to the owners).
For 4 years people have asked for series. Some people have had more than 4 years to build their cars.
PM me if you have any questions.
Harri I appreciate the response and the fact that you didn't take offense to it. I didn't want it to be controversial I just wanted to suggest some ways that you could make the series take off and help the driver's who have the potential to get sponsored have an awesome chance to. The street series rules are fine and I apologize for mixing the cost up. Another gripe I have is the fact that the pro drivers are paying more for entry to slide than the street level class. What is the incentive to drive in the pro class if you have to pay more when you can just drive solo. I understand the pro level will give you more of a chance of being sponsored but I think maybe having the license should mean that you pay less entry cost to slide the event.
Thanks,
Dangle.
