Stopped by yesterday and they had paved the straight from the pits almost to the big left sweeper at the north end.
I took all the pics from the purple/pink (I am colorblind!) dot on the map. First pic is looking at the chicane at the pit exit and each pic looks more to the left.
Check out the full asphalt runoff/practice area inside the chicane. Also the entry to this has 1000ft of straight so im lookin forward to some 90mph entries or even better.
Here is the new right hand sweeper with like 5degrees of banking now and a smoother radius. This is the turn that was used for the qualifier and NOPI round1 '08
Also notice the lake doesnt look like some mutated swampthing is gonna crawl out of it anymore, and the whole track has permanent high intensity lighting.... Oh and really nice curbing too, plus safety catch fences before the concret walls in certain high risk areas.
Every time I go there it is looking better and better, it's really gonna be nice when its done!
