guille is right, ECU is terry schaivo'd. get nook to retune it *for the 3rd time* or hit up enthalpy.
 
It's your harness. It probably shorted somewhere. This happened to Sam. Same symptoms as you. Shoot 93drifter a pm and ask him what was his problem. Also, he solved it by changing his wiring harness.

damn interesting problem...i kno if i could plug up the consult to ur ride id be able to get u helped out...and also the ideas from the other guys r good to..but if ur try all this other shit out and to no avail u need to check ecu wit diagnostics...or connect consult...if that dont werk u need to check the most relative sensors and check them against the fsm for resistance values....i hope i said that rite....lol..viva la driftbomb
 
this is skinny d and it only revs to like 2 grand.... symptoms of a maf problem, but with a good maf....

seems like a maf signal problem (i had the same problem , replaced the maf and tons of other crap_) and it was the wiring harness had to negative wires next to the positive , so when the car got to operational temp the wires would block the signal and i would not be able to rev over 2k

ok now, i got the new ecu from enthalpy, (thanks enthalpy for responsiveness and haste) and it fired up, but now only runs on 2 cylinders, white smoke (like headgasket smoke not burnt turbo) and there was oil pissing out from somewhere all over my exhaust. (dont know if it helps but my catchcan is full, and there was oil coming out of the flange to the dp, and the rest of my exhuast.) im sorry for minimal details i was so shot down, and depressed i took my brother to the event instead of working on my peice of shit... thanks for all help in the longest lasting tech thread... hahaha.
 
ur car sounds like it's running safe-mode. U HAVE A LEAK SOME WHERE MY MAN! if the maf counts 100 cats pass by, but by the time the cats get to the motor there's only 70 of them. ur car goes into something called safe-mode. where did the other 30 cats go the ecu says. not letting rev more then 2,200 rpm's or so. check all vac lines! good louck.
