if u want to kno the pioneers of that voice shit....it is "ZAPP and ROGER" the dude who was on "California Love" he made the shit popular in rap

ZAPP AND ROGER are most famous for computer love, but they are definitely not the pioneers of it u most not listen to a lot of different types of music then

Truth be told dont blame pirating music on the quality of music...honestly you want good hip hop stick with the 80s/early 90s shit or do research...lil wayne, soulja boy, dj khaled...all that shit is nothing but club music. If you want real music go back in the day when people used to talk about there upbringing, the way they had to survive on a day by day basis by doing some of the things they had to do...hip hop was once an art of storytelling (as said by slick rick). Its about lyrics and the flow, nowadays everything is so branded by beats...why? because rap is mainstream as hell now. Does not matter where you go you are bound to hear lil wayne or tpain or something. Throw on the first Jay-Z album then listen to his last one. It has nothing to do with people making the artist produce faster. Alot of the time its the artist that does that. Honestly real hip hop does not sale anymore nowadays...people want to listen to club music, they want that hot new beat.

And yes music is so cultured you can outsource to other parts of the world. Most of everything i listen to pops off from UK, Italy, Japan. I do listen to alot of the songs on the radio but I only listen to the beats.

I know most of us are not the metal type, but I feel like music like this should be played on the radio instead of talentless bullshit.

ppl always use jayz as an example because how well all his albums are intwined in one big story BUT REMEMBER REASONABLE DOUBT IS ALMOST ALL ABOUT DRUG DEALING,HUSTLING,VIOLENCE jay z was JUST gettin out of his street hustle, since then he has become one of the most successful men in hip hop hes reached his peak you cannot compare what was jay z in 96-97 to what is jayz today. music changes ppls lives change you cant just always expect to hear the same shit for so long

and as much as everyone HATES to acknowledge this music is a INDUSTRY and its all about MONEY

i cant criticize an artist for making music that the MASSES love

ppl that say otherwise are sum underground hypebeastish ass *****s  idk what to call em anymore the "cool cuz its not mainstream" crowd lulz

Damn. I'm not big on nu metal and the vocals weren't my cup of tea but that band has talent. Sick guitar. Much better than 99% of the "metal" I've heard on the radio or seen on mtv (mtv is still around right?)

this is a thread about music. if you guys are serious about music then read these lyrics and it pretty much explains the way people listen to music now.
its a song called "this song is definitely NOT about a girl" by Set Your Goals
"don't get me wrong.
i appreciate the appreciation but don't mistake my gratitude for half-heartedness
i'm not shouting these words out for nothing now.
i still feel like there's nobody listening in an empty room full of people.
i hope these walls have ears they'll be the only one i'll ever get to.
EVERYBODY.
they all love to listen to the pretty music
but nobody hears my therapy bled upon this paper.
it translates only to...when all this is done and recorded
please don't say it was wasted on you in vain.
i'd rather you just hit stop right now and walk away
you don't hear a single thing that i say.
what's the difference when you don't read there's a lesson to be learned.
PAY ATTENTION! no this song isn't about my ex girlfriend,
didn't i just say to pay attention?
EVERYBODY.
they all love to listen to the pretty music
but nobody hears my therapy bled upon this paper.
it translates only to a catchy tune to you but i'm glad you're enjoying yourselves.
you fake like you know it so well so tell me what this song is about.
maybe girls? maybe god? maybe how well all moved on and all sold out?
i just want you all to know just how very wrong everyone of you are.
the substance is there and it isn't hard to decode.
we never said we said it best our lyrics are undressed.
we never wrote them to impress anybody. the point is this.
we've got something to say and we'll go wherever to say it.
and that is so much more than any of you can say for yourselves.
we're calling you out to call you in. so here's a second chance.
we can take this line by line and we won't second guess. "

in my opinion, lyrics are everything in a song. I listen to the heaviest of rock to the calmest. im a huge rap fan as well. everyone thinks that the screaming music i listen to is saying nothing but 'im going to worship satan' or 'i wanna kill myself if i cant have you' when in reality, none of the songs i listen to say that stuff. take a second to take in the lyrics of a song for once, see what it's all about. music needs to come from the heart, not just some hit recording factory itching to make their next buck
