The diff in the Miata is similar to the diff in the Pre-'87 corollas and few other RWD Toyota vehicles...
Not as easy to weld up as 240s...

just get a torsen if it doesnt already have one. it is def a tight rear end... no pun intended

torsen's are expensive if you need an lsd grab the clutch type from the s4 rx-7 from the junkyard and swap it into the pumpkin but you have to have the 94+ rear end already. nice thing about it is you can rebuild them and tighten them up real nice, not unlike the two way lsd's that you see for $1000 bucks. its also stronger than the torsen.
