Mazda Kabura

i didnt even know about it until now, very interesting design and def. a thumbs up to mazda for actually considering a cheaper rwd car. It is something that would def. dominate the market if they went ahead with it.

So basically it's a coupe version of the Miata, with a much uglier, futuristic prototype look. I like the idea, hate the design.

No. different suspesnion. Different chassis. Different car. "Basically" a smaller, piston engine, rx-8.

Seen it understeer disgusting at an autocross.... but Rhys Millen will be sliding one soon.

man wtf is up with the seats... i dont like that car one bit.. it looks like a rx-8 on steriods molested a retarded miata

I remember seeing sketches awhile ago for this. I thought it was for the new RX-7 that is supposedly coming out...gonna look em up

it looks like an rx8 on craxk but i doubt the front will look like that even if it does go into production. it might be on an X platform (MX-5, 3(seen pics of it...decent but ff))....

mazda's version of the 240sx on crack

mazda doesnt need a "version" of the 240sx... we have our own sports cars ;)

i have heard about it for some time now but havent really looked into it. it looks straight to me. i guess like most cars for me i need to give them time and they grow on me) mostly new redesigned cars). i like the idea of the design, but how "inexpensive" can it really be? i mean the new miata starts at like $20 +.

really when I drove it fairly spirtitedly on stock tires in an autocross style course it felt quite nuetral to me with the real possibilty of getting sideways with a little work (not mods wanting to get it sideways) , it felt more stable than the miata i was sliding those around quite a bit without trying to hard but it wasnt as much fun due to the soft suspension.

the driver of that solstice might be the one thats below par especially if he had grippy tires on it

WERD. i guess Nissan was the pioneer of cheap rwd light sporty cars

Totally good point man. It's so funny how everybody's saying that too, right? LOLllalersz

As far as cheap, hardtop rwd cars go, unless one has big bucks or wants an old *** FC, there are no Mazda options. I don't see it as being completely unfair to say this is Mazda's version of a 240sx "on crack". Who f'ing cares anyway, i believe the original comment was a compliment (of sorts).

2002tii's were turbocharged and weighed under 2000lbs.

Did I mention they were made in the 70s?

Nissan's for ballers now. I doubt they'll be another 240/silvia anytime soon. We can dream though can't we?
