Funny convo between my ex's current bf and me (about engines)

So, my ex's bf asks me why I drive a bitch car. I say 'cause it wasn't my fault, and I might get a new car soon. If not, I had big plans for it.
He asked me what, so I said,

"I might swap it for a 302, or a 351 shortblock, and a T56."
"You can't do that. The earliest model for the 5.0 was 93 [Which it's actually 94], and even then, the harness wouldn't fit for anything bigger than that."
"Well, why would I stick with a stock ECU when that shit is ineffecient? I'd do a complete ECU swap regardless of what block I choose."
"You can't do that-- besides, the V6 has 7.5" rear ends and anything over your pos 232. Go do some more research, then talk to me."


I started to laugh and he got all defensive like, "What?! WHAT?!"

I told him that it's completely possible, and if I was gunna tell him EVERY THING I wanted to do, it'd be useless, not to mention most people don't know shit about cars. If I chose a 351, I'd have to re-weld the pan holder, not to mention probably the engine mounts and I'd have to move a lot of stuff, such as the battery and the works to the back to make room for the big ass 351. I'd have to remount the radiator to allow more room, get a custom hood to fit the massiveness that is under my hood not to mention a complete suspension upgrade and brake upgrade to allow for the bohemoth to be unleashed with out fear.

He's like, "Nope. You can't do that. I work at a shop where we do 5.0l race cars!" Blah blah blah.

i bet if i told him what i did to my supra hed say nope you cant do it. Then id be like bam bitch now what. I can swap any motor into any car. sticking a 302 or a 351 isnt hard to do into mustang there fuckin mustang motors. LMAO just swap in a carbed motor like i did its the easiest damn swap ive ever done. Honestly most people that own and build mustangs are fuckin retarded. I know cause my brother is one of them.

But, I asked him to sell me an engine. He said for a 302 it's $800 and for a 351 it's $900.
He said "longblock"... IDK wtf he means by that, but I asked him if it comes with the intake, oilpan, etc, and he said "They're longblocks..."
I guess that means with everything? Lmao.

I'd rather buy your 302, though. Fuck this cat... granted $800 for a brand new 302 and $900 for a brand new 351 is pretty damn good. [By brand new, I guess rebuilt]
 
longblock is just the plain motor without the "bolt on" parts like intake manifold, headers etc.

eh you have to ask cause sometimes a long block can have the intake... but yeah all the accsesories arent gonna be there... but this for a rebuilt motor at 800 i would buy and get the rest of the shit too.. wish i could have bought a rebuilt motor for 800...

oh yeah and tell him what does he feel about a ls1 in a s13.... and when he says no it cant be done... tell him to go do some reserach... asswipe

Yeah. I hate cats like him. People who think each car is built for a specific engine and it can't be swapped unless the engine was made to be swapped.

Any engine can be put into nearly any car as long as the engine bay is big enough. Even still, you can get a hood that's tall enough. So, as long as it fits the X and Y measurements, you're straight. You can reweld oil-pan's support, re-weld the engine mounts, etc.
 
a long block is the block with heads, a shortblock is just the block without heads. its as basic as that.

$800 is way too much way to much

Fuel injected 5.0 h.o.'s were in production 86-93, then 94-95 was the same shit with different intake. You could drop w/e into you're v6 shitbox. We did a 95' v6 stang with a 351w. Piece of cake. Done 3, 4 cyl to 302 ho swaps also. Piece of cake. Guys a fagbag...
P.s. Gas is a little frightening right now..."stay v6".
