Florida Drift Points Series

so you are saying you guys are NASCAR approved?????? The only guy in tampa that is good is Nick Hogan... and he is a drifting on a 8' by 10' track....

^^^^^^ haha . unfortunately i agree with paul. i dont think this will go father than this thread , i would like it to i just dont think it willl.

Noah,

The problem is simple. Right now, this thread is more disorganized than a landfill. Everyone has their own idea of how their ideal FL Points Series would work. Because everyone wants it the way they think it's right.

The first step is simple. Don't aim for the stars for '09. Start with something very small, very simple to organize, and that does not interfere with regular events. Try it out, see how people react to it, and then move on. Might not be some crazy competition only event, but it should be a lot cheaper for this organizing group, while it will still inspire that whole "points lead" interest among drivers.

We need people that 1-) Have solid experience in hosting events; 2-) Have solid experience in drifting; 3-) Know how to properly market this idea; 4-) Have the time to commit to this, otherwise nothing ever gets accomplished.

Right now this forum has less than a handful of those people.....perhaps. And that's where the true problem lies.

muito obrigado, voce farla a verdade. Ha muita opinioes mas nenhuma acao, este lugar esta cheio dos sonhadores.

I don't speak Chinese. But anyway, it seems the way this is going no one is going to actually step up and make it happen. Watch, this thread will die within a month after everyone has put their two cents in about how they think it should be run and the "Yea lets do it!" comments stop.

It's funny because I go to the majority of the events in FL, and at every event the majority of the drivers in attendance only go to events at that one venue and no where else. If more people went to every event in FL it would be more like a series. Most of the time events aren't on the same weekend, so plan accordingly and dare to venture out of SFL.

yeah I've never driven desoto but I've drien hialeih speedway, moroso, OSW, and countyline. And I suck sooo.

But yeah I dont see any point in doing the same track over and over forever. I like trying new things.

I've never driven the fairgrounds so that will be new and i will enjoy the hell out of it
