FDC Fairgrounds Pics

its about who has the money to make it..

No you're wrong. Stop pretending like 15 bucks is a shit ton of money. Gas prices are better than they have been in years so don't complain about gas.

I was the DJ wearing the black tank top and was at the event the whole time. I did this event and the last event at PBIR. I just joined this forum and I don't think there's another forum I don't belong to. AND EVERY SINGLE TIME after an event is over you got 100 guys crying "oh man I wish I could have made it, I'll go next time, looks like fun!"........well then where the hell were you and what divine intervention stopped you from coming? Seriously I'm starting to think 90% of forum users are bench racers/drifters at this point. You got people who spend all day on these forums talking to one another and when the day comes you guys are MIA.

I don't make alot of money I really don't yet somehow I can pay my rent, go out to dinner with family and my girl, have dumped 4k into my hatch in the last month, buy cigarettes every day, buy beer on average and groceries. I mean come on guys 15 bucks and driving your car/truck to these events doesn't break anyone.

I'm sorry that this tone was used for my first post but I get really tired of seeing posts like this outweigh replys from people who showed up.

UHHHHH........ You are completely wrong my friend. But Welcome to the forum anyways.

I've chased the dream all over this state and Georgia. Its not cheap, and it can and eventually will drive you broke. Some people are just not in the right place in life where they can afford to throw their money away on a hobbie so expensive. But in good time they may be able to. I've been out of the game for a year now due to financial responsibilities that out way my drifting fix. I've slowly rebuilt my funds and will be back in the game in just a few weeks, but I do identify with those who trully love the sport but cannot justify or afford the cost yet.

Maybe instead of throwing a FDC event every month, Harri shouuld do it every other month so people have a chance to replenish the bank account in between each event. When I used to hit every event, it cost me about $1200.00 an event. Thats right One thousand two hundred dollars. This is not a cheap sport by any means, and to be competitive that means multiple sets of brand new tires, and not everyone has a sponsor throwing car candy at them. Transportation is another biggie. Trailer'ing you car to an event is pricey, and also means you take on a bill such as a car note for the tow vehicle, Insurance for that vehicle and now gas, when you live in Orlando and the best tracks are 2 1/2 hours away, thats a lot of miles at 7mpg. Watch that wallet just empty.

Some guys have trully stuck in it, and figured out a way to make things work. High Five to those guys, I wish they would clue me in on their secrets. But the reality is its racing, and Racing aint cheap.

I only pay for gas and maintence on the vehicle.. I have friends at Tire Kingdom and other places.. it IS difficult.. and impossible to some, especially with family and other bills. I wont argue.. and it is going to be hard to attend every event.. but I am going to make it even if its Raman noodles every night. lol

Well I should have been more specific in my writing. There were plenty of great cars out there that day. I was excited to see it first hand and wanted to ride passenger at the end where it was a free for all. I was talking about the spectators. There should have been alot more. I know drifting is an expensive hobby I agree with you 100% and that was great you had the tire truck there and seeing how many tires cars go through is amazing. I just think there should have been alot more spectators because I thought there were plenty of cars to keep people happy.

I would've given you a ride-along, Thanks for dj'ing. And if I knew there was going to be a tire mounter there I would've brought some. but Thankfully Scott hooked it up with the wheels already mounted on the Hotwheels

Well I'll take you up on that next time :) Thanks for the compliment but I played early then the other DJ's showed up. We tried to play some breaks, house, drum and bass, dubstep so everyone was happy with some hip-hop but you have to be careful because you don't want records saying "bitch" and "pussy" with parents that have young ones running around. The girl playing was actually one of the geisha collective from Miami and the two dudes scratching ran the Miami mashup crew stage at Ultra. I would also like to thank Robert and Harri for having us out there and would gladly do it again if needed.

Ahhh well if you were referring to spectators then I agree. Get out there you little douche nozzles and support the local scene.
