Cmon guys be organized, this is not a drivers list . Nick is asking to see if there is any interest. Nick around what prize are you looking to ask out of each driver? IMO, i should be a no espectator event, and event done just for seat time, like that we have less hassels to deal with and a better chance with the insurance people. I alos think a good price would be 100-120 bucks for drivers, and each driver needs to clean their pit area and maintain a good behavior and sense of respect..... Count me in .......

i think 100 bucks x 35 drivers would be perfect. and no spectators! just 1 pit crew member per driver, and the pit crew pays 15 bucks.

sounds pretty decent of an idear??
 
I do agree with Estie though. Homestead will take balls and 3rd gear. This wont be a small parking lot with 2nd gear low speed corners. And since quite a few at TerTechs qualifier were having issues even with the big sweeper, I think for a track, it would be best if we try to keep the drivers to a higher level, or at least segregate the groups completely.

But this is just my suggestion.. and in the end, its Nick's show.

^^^ Thats what i am talking about and event to cater to drivers, we all get a decent seat time, and we al go home happy, we each help out and there is no need to get a track crew... remember guys : UNITED WE STAND, DEVIDED WE FALL

nope have 3 driving groups.. group 1 drives.. group 3 runs cones, group 2 drives ... group one runs cones, group 3 drives.. group 2 runs cones...

thats how it rolls for auto X, no one person is "better" then another so that We ALL can do this

That sounds really good.

I disagree with keeping beginner drifters out. :( Well maybe like super beginners, but like for me? I mean, I have no idea what level I will be at by in a month or two. I've come this far in 3, so I don't know how much better I will be. I have an event every weekend for the next month and a half..

i disagree with this too, an event is to get seat time not to segregate who is better and who is not, we just make a strict rule about spin out, and try to help the beginers as much as possible..

I'm gonna be blunt.

I'd say about 4-5 people here could actually link that course without having to pay green fee's at the end of the day.

But the innner Pits. IS so huge you could easily cone of a section for beginnners to practice.

I think that we should make strict rules about it. Like:

If you spin out, get off the track and get back in line.

If you spin out twice in one run, you are banned from the rest of the runs in the session. (like at drift fury each run group had 5 sessions & 5 runs per session)


I learned the most by working with the people who were doing good, it wasn't just me getting good becasue I was "at a track o0o". It was all about the atmosphere, watching people, and talkign to everyone. It's all about the atmosphere and getting track time.

haha, just got back from my 2nd practice at homestead, ive been on the karting track, not too sure if i can get the big track but for now its the kart track, its a small course but very very fun and somewhat technical, im pretty positive this will work, we got rained out today and i didnt run the car at all, but i spoke to al garcia, and he told me we could do an event on the karting track for sure.

i would like to allow and skill level of driver, allowed up to 3 pit crew and any more than that needs to pay for the extras, i want to allow spectators, and as for spin outs, theyre allowed....if you spin out twice...off the track for that run, id like to give everyone 2 runs in a row bc i personally hate making a lap and then back in line, so 2 laps i think is better and then back in line

i'll keep everyone updated
