Hey! I think your the guy i bought the KA from. Well put the car on tdc, wich is the second from the left mark on the crank pully. If you can post a pic of all the marks you have... the big gear and the two cam gears. Let me see that first then i can help. If you are putting the distributor correctly make sure you on no.1... If it doesn't start you might me 180degrees off. You can take the no.1 sparkplug out and put a long 1/4 inch extension on the top of the piston. then go by the crank mark to set it for TDC. Check the distributor. Make sure it is on no.1 if it isn't then set it.
If it doesn't start at all take the bolts off of the dizzy and start moving the distributor a lot and see if you get something. More than likely the timing on the engine might be wrong. If it turns on and sputters or doesn't stay on.

Oh yeah by the way the engine is still running great. But it has always leaked oil like a bitch from the front timing cover, its not bad really but sucks because I thought it didn't leak at all. And someone messed up the headgasket part that is under the top front timing cover. That shit was leaking like crazy and someone cut a piece of the lower timing cover.
But the engine has been great and running good on boost.!!!
