lol i remember jens car at desoto drift way back when it first started. ( i was the one who made the logos and stickers for everyone if you still remember) anyway, boxmod do you know of a place to buy oem bushings from?

if advanced auto doesnt have -> dealer? or junkyard source the arms/buy from someone.

and after those pics boxmod, is that at dan chiltons weld shop? it really looks like it.

aright QUESTION. you have 2 parts to an axle, the part that bolts to your diff, and the part that bolts to the hub, on the part that bolts to the hub, on the inside, theres a rubber boot, i originally pulled that back away from where it is suppose to connect to, to check and see if there was damage, and i noticed that i was able to completely pull that part of the assembly out that is connected to the axle itself, and it disconnected itself from the part that is suppose to go into the hub, it has like roller bearings on it and shit, but im curious as to if that is suppose to be able to come out easily, or come disconnected in general or what?

^Look at your other axle. Your not supposed to see the inside of that shit or disconnect it easily. GET A NEW AXLE, and stop messing with that old one...

its hard to just "look" at my other axle and compare them. i figured it wasnt suppose to disconnect easily, just needed some second opinions before jumping to conclusions, you can never ask the wrong question man.

Put it this way. If your axle EVER breaks and you can see grease, get a new one.

no its not, just take off the other wheel and take a look, if it looks all fucked up (like the one in the picture) then you know its bad too....but the point being...replace the axle.

thats a blown CV joint/axle and no it shouldnt come apart. thats why its clunking, as it spins, it is knocking around.

yes that was at chilton's shop, he was putting the new cage in after parts where swapped.

true that. i made that drive down that dirt road so many times it was familiar as crap. and thanks box mod for the info. time to replace the axle it seems like, hopefully that is all that is left

^^ true that to boxmod's notes, someone with helpfull advice, unlike someother's

And if the internals are not too badly damaged and you don't have any missing pieces, you might be able to get it repaired alittle cheaper than a used on

I will let you know

id rather just buy an axle than deal with having grease everywhere and risk this axle being jacked up still.

another issue is, why my camber on my cusco rucas got so jacked to go positive still worries me, im sure i can reduce it down still, but im still concerned as to if that beast is jacked up too. god i officially hate my brother.

ive had people GIVE me axles, and GIVEN them to others. it really shouldnt be expensive. i always have a spare set of stocks just incase.

to the top. gotta question, i put everything back together it seems like, and except the axle is removed, and the wheel is wobbly. could this be that the 5lug hub itself is bent or something?

NEVER, NEVER run a 240sx without a rear axle. The rear wheel bearing will fall apart, without the axle/nut keeping it tight.

When I fucked my axle up, I installed just the wheel side of the axle to atleast keep the bearing tight.

^What he said. Put a new axle and change your bent arms...

i know that mike, i didnt drive the car without an axle, im not stupid lol. but your not answering my question, i REPLACED the arms with adjustables already, im able to turn the wheel freely with my hands but why the fuck is it still wobbly?
