2011 FormulaD Rule book is done

no ***** im talking like spare tire temporary donut tire. and they were on the wheel when I bought them :p

Just do it. Unless you're planning on driving in FD or XDC sometime soon. Then do it, but make it look stock.

I'm building another e30 for FD at Road Atlanta but they probably won't care about that if i'm just entering the pro-am right?

well this year we were held to the Probook 'pretty much'. but lets not assume there is a pro-am there just yet either lol. i sure hope so though.

Is XDC using the same rules?

im sure the price thing came about because of Kumho/Enjuku back in the day. I think this is really gay in a way. I think the cars are gonna be slower and not as much tire smoke which is one of the big crowd pleasers.

How do you figure less tire smoke? Should be more cause the wheel speeds are gonna be greater.

.....not as much tire smoke which is one of the big crowd pleasers.

You wanna see smoke clouds or closer tandem?

Mars kinda has a point there... the crowds love high speeds, and tons of smoke... more smoke, closer tandems would be optimal... tandems are cool, but without a lot of smoke thrown in, it reduces the cool factor, like civics "drifting" on Burger King trays....

EDIT: although i'm no where near a pro or even pro am driver, i think that the more rules there are, the further it gets from the essence of drifitng... i mean, look at NASCAR, they got so many damn rules, that all their Chassis have to be the same shell... maybe pro drifitng is heading that way..

i think all levels of competitive drifting should be held like drag racing, with different classes of cars, that way, a super good driver in a 400HP S chassis is going against a 700hp drift car, let the big dogs run big things, and let the little guys run whatever helps them to keep a competitive edge...... just my $.02

A few dudes going down in tire size isn't going to remove the tire smoke.

FD has like maybe 35 drivers at each event. Dividing that up into classes would suck.

Let the big dogs do whatever they want, and have like 5 competitive cars. That would suck.

This rule seems like a step in the right direction.

Stirring up the pot should make it exciting to watch. I can't wait to see what happens at the first event.

Jerm whats your car weigh??? Mine weighed 2700 stock and havent done it since?

Hey bro's whats your cars weighing in at?????????

My car weighs about 2350 full of all fluids and pretty much a full tank of fuel. I was real surprised when I put it on the scales haha.

When I ran nexens, federals, stuff like that, jeremy could be on shit nexens, and just ride out on me. When I run 615k's I can catch him with NOOOO problem and pull away from him.

yup. Jeremys car is set up like real legit he took time to set it up and things. My cars been wrecked a solid 5 times, has the strut towered moved about 2 inches, havnt had an alignment in like a year, entry level coilovers, rear sway bar with no front and super heavy wheels.

soooo.... yup.
