Check you fpr it could be bad too. I had a weird problem like that on my dual cam. Squeeze the return line as hard as you can.. to hold extra pressure in the rails.. if it revs up cleaner that means it was running lean... I dunno lol just give it a try.

Cometic is good, if you have both surfaces decked... Most higher hp ka's that I know of are using a felpro... one guy is using a felpro with a o ringed block and he is making 600+ hp he was using cometic but kept having problems then he switched to felpro. The ams 240 guy Ivan was using felpro too.

Make sure where the spark plug wires go into the motor aren't full of water.. the area in the middle of the head between the valve cover's.. I've seen that a lot of time with the misfiring... and like the other guy said check the fuel pump ecu you can bypass it on the plug with a little piece of...
