headgasket ...

which brand would you recomend and thickness and iv read that cometic isnt that great and cosworth are better but i dont see any for the ka24de thoughts?

Cosworth does the trick for me - although next time around ill probably go with Power Enterprise or Apexi

hold up, first i heard cometic was da shyt now its not? i mean i was told to put another hundered bux and get an apexi. but i have the cometic right now and works great. 8 and 12 lbs. all day everyday for a year now. BUT U HAVE TO GET ARP STUDS!!!!!there is no point in getting a good gasket without good studs...

yeahhh, Cometics suck, but For KA's thats what you need to get.

Apparently Tomei made a limited run of KA headgaskets, but they were only for a FD car they sponsored. Dont think ANYONE can get em.

Idk why you guys are saying felpro for a ka-t car. If its a stock NA motor, then yeah. Toms got a cometic and ARP headstuds, and he's NEVER had headgasket problems. If you know tom, you know he drives that ka-t like a motherfucker on 20psi on an 18g and revs it to the moon.

Cometic is good, if you have both surfaces decked... Most higher hp ka's that I know of are using a felpro... one guy is using a felpro with a o ringed block and he is making 600+ hp he was using cometic but kept having problems then he switched to felpro. The ams 240 guy Ivan was using felpro too.

Cometic is good but you NEED both surfaces decked. You don't put it on a undecked block or head and then complain when it blows, your fault.

unless you send out the block and head to be decked and mirror finished dont run any type of metal headgasket dont believe me call cometic yourself thats what they recommend
