QFT, my Vagabond is pretty much a Honda battery and an inverter in a nice pretty orange package. I need something like this though because I usually can't pull a car into where I'm shooting. But in your case it should be fine to use an inverter. I would recommend a very good one though...

Wow I expected to come in here and see pure shit as usual for a first time shoot, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is actually not bad for a first shoot! Practice makes perfect, keep shooting! look in magazines/websites to get inspiration for locations, composition, lighting techniques, etc.

Pembroke Gun Range lets you shoot AK, AR15, etc. and they have them to rent.....just throwing that out there. Last time I was there they had a Sig 556, generic AR15 and an AK to rent.
