    Eh... Thanks y'all. I'll start peeling off the layers and we'll see how it goes. Once I get the dash off just degrease/spray off all the wires or does that leave flammable residue? Was I going in the right direction with the maf cleaner?

    i had a similar issue. talk to steve "INFECTED." he helped me out with all that. I would get into gear and attempt to move forward only to stall out like i can't drive stick. reverse would work and idle worked fine, just all the forwards gears. it was basically a whole bunch of bad grounds...

    this may be a dumb answer but after you replaced the maf did you unplug the battery? maybe your car used to compensate for an old maf and when you replaced it, ur ecu still compensated. try that if you didn't already.
