^That too. But I dont think you have an aftermarket fpr with a gauge do you ben? If not, the easiest thing to do would be to use a friends maf. Im telling you, you should see a difference when its not plugged in. Maybe your wiring is fucked up somewhere.

when u unplug the maf usually the rpm goes up.. when u plug it back rpm drops bad and take take it up to idle.. but if u dont see any chance when u do that with the maf..
9 it can be the maf.. Or because is running like shit for some other problem..thats why u dont see any diference doing that with the mad. try jump the starter with a wire (that way u do it ur self) i already done that, lol

well the car started to not start. maybe cuz the plugs are blacker than a hatian. but i found out that one of the cas adjusting bolts fell off. wtf??? it was moving like freely. my guess is that it moved by itself a little sunday thats why it was running like that. would that make sense or am i a dumbass
 
That makes perfect sense actually. My friends sr ran like doodoo until we timed it and set the cas right. I would put that where it's supposed to go before anything. Then check injectors, then check maf. And you wouldn't believe the wonders a maf cleaner does. You can get it at advance for like 6$
 
First what kind of sr do you have? High-port , low-port , or notch back. You said you tried your friends mad , does he have the sr? I agree with everyone who said check your injectors. Pop your engine oil
cap and smell the oil if it smells like fuel then its an injector. If that is the case , pull your spark plugs bc they are prob going to be fouled out. Clean out the cylinders of fuel replace spark plugs and change the oil. My buddy had the same problem, but it grew into a mass of problems. As for the cas, you said it was moving freely? Do you mean the entire unit or just a little wiggle? I would pull it of and see if the male and female tabs are still intact. But this is all if everything goes to hell.

Clean your maf first. General parts cleaner

Check your cas

Smell your oil
 
ok so the piece of shit decided to not start anymore. got good cas put it in right timed and shit still no start wtf. tried jump starting it and it would do anything it backfired reallly loud. idk wtf to do

Are you sure you timed it right? Go over everything and double check babe. Do you get fuel/spark?
 
yeah i set motor tdc second indent to the left on crank pully, timed the cas correctly and installed correctly.
 
When you try start, is there just one click? Check your oil, for the scent of fuel. If you repeatedly tried to crank it you could have hydro locked the motor. Remove coilpqcks, sparkplugs, and check cylinders for fuel. If there is fuel in the cylinders crank it with the pligs out ( itll shot fuel everywhere) make sure all fuel is out of the cylinders. Make sure your spaek plugs arent soakes. If they are replace them. Lastly see if there is fuel in your engine oil, is so change the oil. Then try to crank it with everything installed

You don't hydro-lock a motor with fuel. You mean flooded.
