sorry rodd but thats not why. they said that it was because Powers hit Dmac hard enough to take his door off. they said that even though it looks cool spectator wise, competition and safety wise it wasn't
 
Dmac def deserved the win but you have to love powers for going in that close to him on that first corner

No dmac had the advantage going in to the second lap the bump just sealed it for him
 
Yeah they were making it like Powers smashed into Dmac, when the tap hardly effected his line! That pos saturn door just isn't 5* crash safety standards rated! lol
 
powers made mistakes in the lead run but followed well, dmac did well both runs and deserved the win. But would rather watch omt either way.
 
That was pretty wild. It would have been amazing to see them pull off a tandem that close properly. Oh well, at least we got a door prize.

The door is fiber glass (on dmacs car) and it was matts wheel that hit it.
 
there is a go pro on the front bumper, god i hope its facing forward and not towards matt. I wanna see good footage of that tap

I would have given it to Matt, because he was "tandem" not just following. Yea the first run was alil weaker tho he did seem to have more angle for the most part of the run, but no serious pressure compared to matts 2nd run. Again I'd have given it to powers or omt, on the bases he was making it a tandem run. Most of fd is lead/follow. So he bumped his door, it didn't push him
. There were crappy calls in the pro am as well. I don't understand why straitening out isn't considered as bad as spinning. The guy that took 1st would total grip a turn yet when the other car would spin on the 2nd run he gets the win. Spin or straiten out both = lost drift and should be judged as so.
