Make sure its the high heat teflon. Otherwise it will just melt and leak more. Also only wrap it around fully once. Not twice or three times.

the previous owner had setup an autometer oil pressure gauge and and ran the line to engine bay and has wired it up, i guess i just have too hook it up? but does it just bolt right in or do i have to put a special fitting, i found one in the car and its brass, thats why im asking...

well test it out silly. It may or may not call for a fitting.
 
Autometer gauges and sensors are 1/8 NPT - the port on the SR is 1/8 BSPT you need an adapter www.mcmaster.com (paid $12 shipped for an 316 SS Adapter - 4092K11)

wow my autometer sensor screwed right in to my sr with no leaks
