hey guys i dont know alot about these motors so i am seeing if anyone can tell me how to tell if i have
a s13 or s14 sr20det i'm trying to get a new oil pump and also trying to find out the size the stock head gasket ?
any info would be great.

Idk what you mean by hg size - thickness? As for s13 vs s14, look for the notch in the rear. Google has pics

That's an s14 engine - look at how it notches down on the firewall side.

Not to be rude but here are some things you should do

Google images s13 sr20det. Compare yours.
If not repeat with s14
They are 2 sub categorys redtop and blacktop

Next Google stock sr20det head gasket. There's s lot of info on upgrades as well.

As far as buying a hg or oil pump check out the site enjunku racing. They are stationed in Florida.

i googled for they head gasket but i keep finding difrent info some say 1.10 1.01 0.70
thats why i was asking you guys here thank you for your help.

That's a loaded question. Assuming your head/block is not warped and does not need to be planed and you have stock internals and are not running very high boost levels, stock thickness is appropriate which is 1.1mm. If you are smart you will buy this exact HG:

it is an all stock motor as far as i know but it dose have a GT2871R turbo.
so should i go with the 1.1mm or a difrent one ?

sorry man i am replaceing the head gasket becus the guy who had it befor me cut the
head gasket off were it gose over the timeing chain cover so it leeks oil bad.

Well it seals between the head and block so i would get them checked out before believing that story.

i have the motor out and i'll take some pics when i get home you can see were he cut it off at the block.

Cosworth HG's are the truth... using a 1.1mm now works great

Stick with stock thickness it works

and you should kick the guy in the nuts who decided to modify a headgasket...

yeah.. i looked at this car before getting my current one... leaked oil outta the hg like crazy.lol.

you pulled the whole motor out just to replace the hg???lol

i pulled it to put new rings, head gasket, oil pump, main and rod bearings, and a new rear main seal
so i knew it was ok.

Well if you're sure the head and block are gravy, a 1.1 should be perfect.
