Taka Aono suffers a broken Tibia after Top 32 Accident

We got sent an x-ray of Taka Aono’s tibia after this Top 32 crash. We have seen Taka Aono flip and destroy AE86’s for years but never really suffer any injuries. It looks like the higher speed bank accident managed to injure Taka Aono. Everyone at Wrecked Magazine hopes he can make a speedy recovery and return to Las Vegas in just over one month. Get better Taka, please leave him your best wishes in the comments.

Damn man, that sucks. He qualified like 8th and was apparently killin it.

if you read the comments people are acting like he died on wrecked. he broke a leg didnt shatter it so yeah its not gonna effect him coming back to drive at all bet hes at the next round without the cast.

Without a cast in less than 6 weeks with such a severe break?
you might be, but are you high as shit right now? Thats a fucking NASTY break, and uhhhh, its gonna be tough for him to build an entire new car for the next round.

And thats had to have been a pretty fucking bad wreck to break his leg like that

i broke my leg worse then that was back walkng with no cast in three weeks. but somepeople heal faster then others. dosnt have to be that bad of a crash if he braced his leg against the floor or firewall before impact thats gonna brake it. watch i bet hes at the next round with a back up car

yeah, in an FD car, its a pretty bad wreck for that to happen. Youre in a legit bolstered seat, 5 or 6 point harnesses. Like, you arnt moving. And from what all the doods that were there were saying, it was pretty fucking bad.

you dont have to move if he flipped the car and crushed in the floor bam broken leg. Havent seen the accident but thats about the only way i could imagine him braking his leg unless he managed to like push the whole engine and firewall back.

Uh WRONG. So now since Tanner and others aren't crashing/flipping cars constantly then they're not pushing the "envelope"? Thats a load of bs. Guess most of the kids on here are pushing that envelope all the time street sliding into mailbox's and telephone poles, damn they're awesome.

i agree with this crashing dosnt make you cool taka tends to go overboard alot and it dosnt help him get podiums as much as tanners consistancy does.
 
pushing the envelope at an FD event and pushing your limit street sliding are two completely different things.... not even to be analyzed under the same criteria... im not getting into specifics or an argument over some driver in formula d, but he does go hard, and he does it like any one of us can do it... not making a custom car and bending the rules to drive.... once again go aono
 
So I guess if I goto FD and flip my car a few times, I'll have a pretty sweet fan base of people thinking I'm being super awesome. I had the whole thing wrong damn. Put him in Tanners car and you wont see that car again I bet you.
 
Crash went down like this from what I remember from livestream:
taka following slower driver. Entered slow and had to straighten. Tried to reinitiate and kinda muffed it and speed took him into a front corner hit which was pretty hard. Car scrapped along wall.

Prolly leg jolted to left and hit the damn Rollcage or something. Nothigg holds your floppy legs in place from a side to side during a hit like that. Don't that he will be without cast even if he can fix or rebuild in time for Vegas.
 
^this crash didnt look too bad hard hit driver front (no harder than j'lowes at d1) i assume the same thing hard jolt left and his leg hit the cage.
