D1 Street Legal 2009 [VIDEO]

omfg...

Tandem event would be fun as fuck.

+1 to what Shant and Bill said
Lets buy those beaters and get on a tandem event

WOW those tandems are just amazing......

there kinda should be a tandem only event

We(Drift-Sessions) could have a tandem only event at Countyline but will anyone come??
we would need atleast 20 drivers with cages bolt-in or welded.....
Probably give you guys 5 hours of track time...
I think you would have to sign up in pairs of 2 drivers so no one is stuck drifting by themselves..
I know the spectators would love it

dont line up in pairs, just have a 'lead line' and a 'follow line'. that way you can randomly end up with someone or line up with them if you want.

countyline is fun, id like to do it, but timing the event not near other big events is the key.

I saw quite a few hits at fd atlanta, and it was pretty exciting, but fd is kinda more about crazy hp and grip and trying to pull away from the follower instead of just getting nuts with the driving and tandem. It kinda bums me out sometimes.

i like the way you put that... but alot of pro am, and lower level drivers seem to be scared!!!

** one KEY POINT to make is that drifting budget is VASTLY different here and japan. The biggest issue most teams and proam drivers face is travel budget. Japan is SO SMALL and you can travel across it in much less time, gas, food stops. This means more for racing, less time off work = more earned, and less strain on the travel rig. That money saved can go into fixing or replacing panels and paint. I cant goto TX for LoneStar Bash, have trip cost me $700~ and then break aero and ruin paint (lets say $500 on the low side to fix again, hoping no REAL damage was caused)... then expect to afford another $600 trip to the next pro-am style event.

that, and the fact that Japan allows hot lapping, track days, at really good drifting setup venues, all the time... I have some of the most tandem experience in Florida, and I bet in 3-4 events there, a fresh fish would have as much tandem as I've had over the years.

Other problem with pro-am, is there are so many non pro-am, pro-am drivers that show up, I dont trust them enought to get that close haha, shit.

and I'm a huge vag.

Yeah it seemed like 90% of the pro-am drivers in Atlanta shouldn't have been there. Oh well. I wanna go practice driving now.

I said sign up in pairs not line up lol

Ill make sure we look up other events so we dont schedule it for the same weekend
