okay. this might get long but im going to explain exactly what happened to cause this unknown problem..
first off, heres the deal. the car turns on, perfectly. no stutters or anything. but, nothing works. no horn, no radio, no lights, no cluster no wipers anything. a few minutes in to the drive, my wipers turn on by them selves, i hear the "ding ding" of my seat belt, and everything starts to work again, but the moment i come to a complete stop where my car is at idle, it loses complete power and shuts off... heres how it happened.
i bought a new radio cause mine was a bit out dated. i went to install it my self (ive done this a million times) for those wondering, no i dont unplug the battery. i take out the radio and snip the wires, so i have nice room to work with the harness of my new radio. i wire everything up, no power to the radio, but i did hear the clicking of a relay, im not sure which one., after that my seat belt jingle stoped working, i replaced the fuse it started to work again. i had a bad ground, did the ground, now i was getting power to my amplifier and the sub woofer, but no interior speakers were working. i find out the car still has the factory amps for interior speakers, i plug in the remote for them, boom everything works. i go to put the radio where it goes and i notice it shut off, then went back on. and it kept doin it every time i moved the radio. i set it right, and it worked fine. on the way home, it started to shut off again, every few seconds so i thought okay ill fix that tomorrow (saturday) so i get home w.e on to the next day next day (saturday) i get in the car, on the way to work i turn on the car once again fine with no sputters started on a dime. i noticed nothing was working. no seatbelt jingle no lights horn nothing electircal was working. i started driving, my wipers flickered on, everything started to work again. once i came to a complete stop, the car shut off. i turned off ignition and i turned the key to see if it would turn on. it worked, car was on, but again with nothing electical working. i made it to work, just as i parked and came to a complete stop again the car shut off... btw, yes ive tried unplugging the radio harness completly, still the same problem.
