yeah, walking by josh's car (the blue hatch with the gold equips) and he spit at the ground, right as i was passing the window... didn't even look at me... i was like "well, that settles the introducing myself in person idea"

but yeah, Orlando people are cool as fuck.
 
I lived in orlando for a bit. I met a lot of cool people there. That was in the late 90's, early 2k's though and i was involved in a totally different scene. Traveling up there in the drift scene years later, I have met lots of cool guys like Rob, the guys from the old Enjuku (like Mikey), etc...and like, super cool at that. Same with Tampa, although they had a much higher percentage of egomaniacs. Then emo happened, tattoos became a fashion statement and idk...the whole tone of people changed there. It seems like its all about trying to act like everyone else is beneath you which is douchey and lame but the sand definitely enters the vag when they are subject to scrutiny or criticism.

I think fl drivers in general suck. I was in tampa one time. Saw a person swerve over 4lanes of traffic and almost sideswipe a car only to slam on their brakes and then go speeding off. About 5mins later that same exact person rear ended a motorcyclist.

OF has its handful of crappy people, but its a great place when your bored at work.

yeah, i did come on like a fuck, it was instant defense mode from the moment i clicked "register"

and yeah, i was a noobish asshole back then, and i even transferred some of the FD attitude towards other post of mine on other forums, then i realized i was becoming like you guys (thanks kelsey for pointing that out), and chilled out...

and the only thing i do on Zilvia is cruise the FS section, nothing else...

i've changed over the past two years, orlando hasn't...
 
OF sucks period before the 2500 post count was implemented stolen parts were getting sold left and right. OF is a honda forum str8 up. I lived in orlando for 2 years. and met a bunch of great people. If you guys feel that the orlando crowd is a bunch of douches then let your driving speak for itself. Im sure everyone will respect a person that can drive. Which is the point that most people drift and race. They enjoy driving.
 
i can respect a driver, i got respect for pat, dan, josh, all those guys cause they're sick drivers, and there are some GREAT drivers from orlando...

on a personal level, not so much... i'm not the guy of guy that everyone has a "cool" test they have to pass for me to like em, basically if you're not a doucher, asshole, sandy, you're cool in my book, no matter how bad or good you drive, and I'm not the guy to suck balls and nut swing cause some dude's on Ziptied....


i haven't been on orlandoforums, except for this topic this thread was made for, but from what i can tell... most are the same, from honda/nissan/domestic... they all seem to have this attitude... like someone said, it must be something in the air...

or maybe Epcot makes em feel above all else, with it's sweet oversized disco ball....


i'm not saying all are bad, but not one spoiled apple, but half of the spoiled apples ruin the bunch...

That's the thing bro. I don't give anyone a cool test. You came on and instantly became a fuck. If you were a normal non idiot from the start, there would have been no problems.
Everyone thinks we have a cool test for people. We just hate people that come on acting like king shit tellin how cool they are and showin rad-a-rude. If you're new, act new and be nice to people. Don't put up a defensive wall. We're mean to each other but 9 times outta ten we're fuckin around

i do have a tendency of being like that... that and like 80% of my posts come out the wrong way... but i think i've been pretty chill for the most part over the last year... i blew up on poor kelsey a couple times but we're still cool (i think lol).

Out of all the drift events I've been to, OSW events were some of the most fun. Dan, Brett, and I went there for our very first event ever, didn't know anyone, drove like complete idiots, couldn't link 2nd gear apron, etc. Everyone was cool, and I made a bunch of new friends. I have fun everytime i go to Orlando.

However, still in awe about how dumb everyone in the "drifting" section of OF is, and how they handled Jason's situation.
